Former Miss Tourism Zimbabwe Ashley Morgan says she is grateful to be able to share the beauty of Zimbabwe through her story as her modelling career continues.
The model who is born in and based in Victoria falls says modelling and pageantry helped her realize her power as a woman.
“Pageantry has me realize my power as a woman, the power is speaking out; the honour in representation and the beauty of owning one’s strength and vices. It has made me realize that dreams are possible and l am enough!” she said speaking to a Victoria Falls News reporter.
Ashley Morgan spent some time in December last year representing the country in the Miss Africa pageant at an event hosted in Nigeria. To represent the country, Morgan was shortlisted with 5 other models from national auditions – she was then chosen from this shortlist to represent Zimbabwe.
She went as far the top 10! When asked about her memorable experiences in Nigerian, Ashely Morgan said “seeing the other side in Nigeria we don’t see on TV – it is a beautiful place”.
“Meeting very smart and beautiful African women from all over the continent: our great friendships and lessons,” she added.
